Richard has spent the past 5 years working with various NGOs in senior management and data specialist roles. He is a passionate supporter of civil liberties and believes strongly in the freedom of individuals and organisations alike to communicate freely without the fear of surveillance – a belief that lead him to represent Pirate Party Australia as a senate candidate in the 2016 federal election.
Electronic Frontiers Australia plays an important role in representing our rights through this pivotal moment in digital expansion, where the past victories for civil liberties are being undone at a disturbing rate and the protection of this powerful medium is essential.
Richard will use his place on the Electronic Frontiers Australia board to prioritise building our supporter base, holding policy makers accountable, and making our voice heard.
