Yep, it’s true. Your digital rights in this country are fought for by volunteers. And we need a bit of a hand. We have two roles we are looking to fill right now, a Volunteer Membership and Sponsorship Coordinator and a Volunteer Event Coordinator.

Volunteer Membership and Sponsorship Coordinator
- You have an interest in digital rights and working with people who want to make a difference
- You are organised and meticulous, perhaps you use a lot of post-it’s or have a zero inbox
- You aren’t shy about contacting people for money or support – afterall we are a great cause and they want to help
- You are comfortable with computer systems and having membership management, account management, and communication management on your CV is going to help you
- You are always open, honest, and friendly
You will
- Make sure members get email reminders for their membership in time
- Welcome new members with a quick note to say hi
- Reconcile donations and payments in Xero with our CiviCRM system
- Run monthly membership reports for the board
- Follow up leads and contacts so that people that want to provide financial support can
- Put the privacy of members and care for their personal data first, always.
- Update the membership database, tracking down incomplete information if required
- Create segmented lists where required for event mailouts and other reports
- Send out/order merchandise

If you have a consistent 2 hours per week you will have our systems running smoothly and we will be so grateful!

Role 2:
Volunteer Event Coordinator
This year EFA celebrates 25 years and we want to have a couple of events and support a project to help people who want to be active advocates. We will keep everything grassroots, but we are looking for someone who will take the lead to make sure everything falls into place for success.
- You have an interest in digital rights and working with people who want to make a difference
- You like things to run smoothly and you don’t mind picking up the phone to get something back on track
- You’ve been involved in organising an event before – or it something you really want to do as a future job
- You are organised and will put your hand up if you need help
- You are always open, honest, and friendly
You will
- Help us with our event organising
- Reach out to potential sponsors, supporters, or speakers
- Create and manage event listings on the tools we use
- Respond to enquiries, changes and opportunities
- Produce social media content and information for the comms team
