Your chance to be a part of EFA’s Board, and make a difference.

Would you like to help shape the future of digital rights in Australia? Are you passionate about protecting civil liberties and free speech?

Electronic Frontiers Australia is currently seeking members’ expressions of interest in filling a casual vacancy on the EFA board

Consideration will be given to non-members with the right mix of skills and availability, based upon our organisational needs. Becoming a member of the organisation will be required as part of joining the board.

The EFA board is an operational board. It is critical that you are willing and able to roll up your sleeves and assist to ensure that the operational functions of the organisation are performed.

Key attributes desirable to the board:

Prospective board members will ideally have knowledge and experience with lobbying, knowledge of the digital rights domain, and an affiliation with the digital rights community.  Fundraising and volunteer management experience is also desirable.

Board positions are voluntary and unpaid. If successful you will be co-opted to the board until the 2019 Annual General Meeting (usually held in October or November each year).

EFA’s board believes in the strength of having diverse views and participation, and strongly encourages applications from anyone with an interest in digital rights regardless of background. We are committed to provide a supportive environment for anyone with an interest in this area.
